Wapping Community Church is a big, blended family of Christians that shares a love of God and service to each other and our neighbors. Our inspiration in this is the life and teaching of God’s son, Jesus Christ. As Protestants, our faith is grounded in the teachings of Jesus, and we treasure the Bible as a source for guidance, inspiration, and continuous education. As Congregationalists and members of the United Church of Christ, we celebrate two sacraments, baptism and communion.

 

For our congregation an important part of our faith is an obligation to serve others. This service can take many forms, and you can find Wapping folks in action both within our church and in the greater South Windsor community. Our church was officially founded in 1803, and across our over 220 years of history Wapping members have seen first-hand that active Christians, in common purpose, are a wonderful means to reflect and communicate God’s love to all.

 

Each person has their own unique relationship with God and Jesus Christ, and we cherish the diversity, experience and perspective that our members bring to our table. Whoever you are, or wherever you are on your life’s journey, you are most welcome here.
